Rain Rain Go Away

No football games today due to the rain and thunderstorms. It was a little strange having a whole Saturday with nothing that we had to do. We got up to be at the fields by 9:30 only to find out that the games had been cancelled. The boys were disappointed not to be able to play, but happy they didn't have to play in the pouring rain. So we came home, changed, and went and bought Rock Band 2. There are a lot of new songs so it will be fun to play. We can even have battle of the bands. If anyone else gets the game we might have to try it over xbox live.

Not much else going on. I am finally feeling human again. It has only taken 3 weeks since I first got sick. I hadn't realized how terrible I really felt until about day 5 of antibiotic. I think next time I won't wait as long to go to the doctor. I hate to think what it would feel like to have full blown pneumonia vs. mild.

Caitlin did get asked to Eagle's homecoming the other night. She is excited that she gets to go and wear the dress she found over the summer. The dance isn't for another month - they really ask in advance. Now she has the challenge of how to answer the boy. Just a verbal yes doesn't cut it.

A Weekend of Football

Anthony is on the right side with padding from hands to shoulder!
Adrian is #88

In the above picture he is the one between the blue players closest together.

Anthony is the center.

As I mentioned before this last weekend was the first games for all three kids so I have included a few pictures of each of them. I think the best (funniest) part was during Caitlin's game. The varsity cheerleaders have boxes that they stand on to cheer - I'm sure you can guess what happened. Yes, Caitlin fell off her box! (If you look closely in the picture just above you can see the other teams cheerleaders standing on their boxes) Unfortunately we all missed it but we had a great time teasing her about it. She has a really big black and green bruise going across her thigh. Hopefully she will be more careful next time. Rocky Mountain High lost 35-6. Anthony's team won, I don't remember the score, and Adrian's team lost but he almost made a touchdown. It was a great weekend to spend outdoors.

Dad and Gary worked on Caitlin's car. They got the hood put on and fixed the check engine light. Without taping over the light on the dash I have to add. They had it checked at Autozone, bought the part and found where some wires were split. And I can't forgot Mom - she held the light for Gary while he was screwing in the bolts for the hood. Caitlin is now driving her car again to school and work so she is happy. I am still nervous to let her out but I have to. Gary came up with a good rule: If she drives the phone stays home. It is one or the other.

Since the week is half over I hope everyone has a great rest of the week and weekend.

Hi Everyone - Not to much has been going on lately other than day to day life and working on Caitlin's car. It is about finished. We still need to find a hood and will probably end up putting one on that is a different color. Her check engine light is now on as well. Gary is trying to figure it out but so far not much luck.
All three kids have their first football games this weekend so that will keep us busy and mom and dad are coming over to watch them.
I really like my new job. It is nice to be kept busy for a change compared to last year. School is going well for the kids too. Adrian even likes his teacher this year despite having written on his calendar "Back to Prison" for the first day of school and the day off last week.
For those of you who haven't talked to mom and dad in the last few days - Grandma Virgil passed away Sunday early evening. She had been taken to the hospital and Randy said it was her heart. As of now there are no plans for a service since she wanted to be cremated and there is really only Randy and I as far as relatives go. I am still waiting on Randy to get back to me as to what we are doing.
Well that is about it for now. I hope everyone is doing well.
