Here are some updated pictures of how our backyard turned out. There are still a few things we are planning on adding - a wrought iron table & chairs for the fire pit, either hanging baskets or lanterns on the shephard like hooks/stand for outdoors by the fountain (we need something else back there), decorative rock and a place for Adrian to hang his hammock. We are very happy with the way it turned out. We kind of feel like we settled on the water feature but we figure if we change our minds next year then the fountain can always go on the front porch. We wanted the sound more than anything and what we found that we really liked was more than we wanted to spend for a water feature. It is really nice to sit on the back porch and have something to look at other than the neighbors backyard!
We had a hummingbird in the yard the other night on the popsicle plants we planted. Hopefully the birdbath will draw a few more birds. I think we are going to get a hummingbird feeder too.
Here is a picture I took last weekend of Anthonty & his friends makins s'mores. We love the shadows on the fence and they go all around the back yard on the fence.
