I just thought I would post a quick comment that Caitlin updated her blog. There is a link to it on the side of our blog. Hopefully she will continue to update it periodically. Right Caitlin???

College Bound

Well, we just returned from Logan a little over an hour ago. We had a fun time and got Caitlin's room pretty much organized. She still has her shoes to unpack & tonight she was planning on getting some curtains & a plant for her room. We saw a few rooms that had curtains and she liked the idea. We spent the morning walking around campus & finding the buildings her classes are in. Most of the buildings were locked up so we couldn't get in. A friend of hers from Eagle is already there so they spent the afternoon together and she was going to Jennica's aunt's for dinner. She is very excited to be there and we know she will have a great time.

We had only been on the road about 2 hrs. when she called saying that she had a crisis. She went out to her car to go to the aunt's house and found her rearview mirror laying on her gear shift & didn't know what to do! We gave her a few ideas but she is hoping that Jennica's cute cousin a.k.a. Caitlin's future husband will be able to help her tonight. She said - "You just barely left and already I need my dad!"

She does have a blog although she really hasn't put much on it. There is a link on the side of our page. I have been encouraging her to update it with what she does at school so we will see.

The pictures are on the famous A Block where one can become a True Aggie by kissing a true Aggie on a full moon at midnight and a few other ways. Anthony didn't feel like getting his picture taken that is why he isn't in very many.

One Way to Beat Boredom

If any of you are "friends" with Adrian on Facebook you know that all he has managed to say over the past week is how bored he is. His friend must have gone on vacation all last week and didn't tell Adrian - some friend right? Adrian could never get ahold of him so he was extremely bored. No matter what we offered to do with Adrian he was still bored. So yesterday afternoon he came up with the great idea of breaking out of duct tape. First we tried just the wrists taped together but that was quickly accomplished. Evidently not enough hair was pulled off of his arms because he then asked Gary to do it again and this time they added the legs. It obviously hurt more because by the time I ran to get the camera and made it back to the front room he had already sat down to pull off the tape since he couldn't seem to break out of it on his own.

One Week to Go

It is hard to believe that in just one week from today we will be helping Caitlin get her dorm room ready and leaving her in Logan. Mom & Dad, I don't know if you had a hard time when we all moved out but I sure am starting to. Not just the fact that she will more than likely never live at home again but add to that the fact that I will be the only girl left in the house. Even Charlie & Jake are boys. You just kind of go along in life knowing that one day they will move out but at the same time, atleast for me, you also think they will always be there. It is just weird and I don't really know how to explain it. She is more than ready to go out - atleast she seems to think she is. No, I know she will do fine and she is so enthusiastic about the whole thing. She even has a job interview when she gets down there to work in the school library. This is where she was hoping to work so we are crossing are fingers that it will work out.

Not much else going on here right now. We just got home from the GI Joe movie. It was pretty good. It has rained for the last 2 days and has seemed more like a fall day than the first part of August. We are hoping to go boating tomorrow when Caitlin gets off work (her last day), but we will have to see how the weather is. I think we are finally up to 75 and it is 7:30. A far cry from 100 just 3 days ago. Caitlin is hoping to go boating one more time before she leaves.

Another day at Lucky Peak - this time with Matt & Colleen

It was another gorgeous day at Lucky Peak. We met Matt & Colleen at 10:30 this morning and it was already 85 degrees outside. We were out on the lake until about 4:30. Unfortunately it was a little breezy outside & the lake was busy so the water was pretty choppy but we still had a great time. Below is a video of Adrian & Matt tubing. We have two tubes that attached separately on the boat. The object is to "bump" each other. This first video shows their faces better. Unfortunately I didn't get any video of Matt & Colleen out together, but some of the pictures are pretty priceless. I also added another slideshow of the pictures Colleen & I took today.

The next video shows more of how it works pulling two tubes at a time.

This next video is of Adrian kneeboarding. Gary did the knee board first but we didn't get video of that either since I was driving the boat and forgot to ask someone to do it. He was quite good! Looked like he had been doing it for years. He even tried putting the rope behind his back to turn around but decided to save that trick for next time.
