Well, it is Halloween and Gary and I are home alone to hand out candy. It makes me wonder why we are sitting here! Adrian is out with his friends in the neighborhood and probably won't be home for several hours. Anthony is spending the night at a friends' house watching Signs and just hanging out...in otherwords playing the xbox all night.
Caitlin came home last night too. I knew she was coming home but it was a surprise for Gary and the boys. She came in through the garage about 11 last night. The boys were downstairs and just looked at her when she walked through the door as if she always comes home and then they did a double take. Anthony was just kind of speechless. It was pretty funny. We stayed up and visited for a couple of hours, slept in this morning, and have just been hanging out today - doing her laundry! Now she is off to visit some friends and go see Paranormal Activity with another group of friends.
Not much else is going on here. Adrian has joined the wrestling team at school for those of you who don't know. He is enjoying it but feels it is harder than football in different ways. He has bruises on his legs instead of his arms. He has come home with a split fat lip one night. This past Monday was my favorite though. He was dropped off and came in the house extremely quiet so I came up to see what he was doing. He immediately broke into tears saying that he had a really bad headache. I asked him if he was pinned hard & hit his head but his response was no. He then went on to explain (crying) that he had had a headache since 8th period and he was "tired of getting flipped around like a rag doll by the 8th graders!" That only made his head hurt worse. Needless to say he laid down and slept until 6 the next morning. It is my understanding that the wrestling team consists of mainly 6th and 8th graders. There are a few 7th but not many. He was beating the 6th graders in his weight class pretty easily so the coach started putting him against 8th graders. Wrestling just became a little bit harder. His first match is on Tuesday so it will be fun to see how he does.
We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!
