Life Flies By....

It is hard to believe that a month has gone by since I last posted anything! Working full time sure makes the week go by much quicker. Not much has been going in our lives other than football practice, guitar lesson, football game, and more work. What life huh? As most of you probably know about two weeks ago Caitlin, mom & dad, and Marilyn came over for the weekend. We met Amy and the boys for dinner Friday night, went to Adrian's game on Sat., had a late dinner at our house on Saturday and then the weekend was over already. While Caitlin was home she/we decided we should look for her a new car. Martha (her car) was starting to get a little tired which I guess tends to happen after you wreck it! She has been working hard at the movie theater saving every paycheck for a down payment. We were originally thinking that she would get one next spring but decided to look the weekend she came home and here is what she found

Caitlin and Anthony volunteered to be the lineman at Adrian's game. Anthony won't ever let me take his picture. He sure is getting tall. I think is maybe just a hair taller than I am.
Caitlin had actually volunteered Gary to do the line with her but he wasn't back from the rest room before the game started so Anthony jumped in. He wasn't successful at talking Gary into taking his place.
Caitlin is loving her new car and the great gas mileage it is getting. She loves the fact that she doesn't have to take off her glove box and wiggle wires to get her air conditioner to work and the fact that the fan in the engine doesn't sound like it is going to take off right out of the hood of her car. Let's hope it lasts her quite a while.
Today Adrian had his last play off game. They have been undefeated all season...... until today. The game ended 22 to 0. It was sad that we didn't even have a chance to score. Our main boy who scores was pegged from the get go and he didn't even really ever have a chance. It was a great game to watch. I don't know what some of those boys get fed but our boys didn't hardly come the the shoulders of 4 or 5 of them and of course those 4 or 5 played the whole game. Plus our quarterback broke his thumb last game, another sprained his wrist pretty bad and has a hard splint on it, and the kid who broke his wrist still has a cast on. On a team of only 16 players when three get hurt it doesn't leave us much room for more injuries. Zach, the quarterback, couldn't play on defense and he is one of our best players. Anyway, now the boys will still get to play one more game next week but they just didn't make it to the major bowl game under the lights at a highschool. The year end party should be pretty neat though. It will be in a banquet room at the Capitol Building. They are having lasagna catered in and a guest speaker.
Adrian started wrestling again last Wednesday. He now has wrestling practice 3-4:30 or so at which time I pick him up (practice goes till 5:15), we hustle home for him to have a quick snack, get dressed for football practice, and we are back out the door by 5:10 for practice till 7. Wrestling practice is every day and then he will have 4 more days of football practice this next week. It all certainly makes for a busy and exhausting week.
