Great Saturday!

Today was one of those days that you think it is so nice to see your kids getting along and enjoying each other.  Anthony & Adrian each had a friend go boating with us today.  Yes.....you read correctly Anthony wanted to go boating.  Adrian took Tyson and Anthony's friend is Chase.  First item of business once we were in the water was to find a dock. We were actually on the water by 11:15 this morning and it is usually hard to find an open dock.  We found on without to much trouble but soon came to realize why there was no one there.  Fire ants as the boys called them.They went to go go the picnic table but there was ants all over so they decided to eat lunch on the dock.

After lunch Anthony, Chase and Tyson decided to go exploring.  If you look ahead at the last picture you will see what their goal was.  Initially Adrian was with them and all 4 boys were walking the shoreline to get to the "island".  There was a point where the water got to deep so they turned around. That is when the first 3 decided to take a hike and Adrian stayed behind miffed because he was ready to get out on the tubes not "hike up a stupid hill!"  If you look to the left of the top rocky area you can see the boys.

This "island" was quite a distance from our boat as you can tell from the picture.  You will have to make the picture larger, but they did make it.  One slight problem though....they couldn't figure out how to get back up on the hill!  They started waving to us after a while to go pick them up, which was a little tricky as it was a rocky shoreline. 

All in all a good day.  The hike took them about an hour and then we tubed for another 3 hours after that.  Anthony didn't get on tube but he was enjoying himself.  The water was a balmy 60 degrees!  Poor Tyson had been dragging his toes in the water while riding the tube and at one point we stopped he said he couldn't feel his toes.  He got in the boat and and 2 of his toes were completely white.  Not good at all.  He rubbed them, wrapped them in a towel, and set them on a silver part of the boat that was really warm.  After a bit he said the feeling was starting to come back. 

We came home, cleaned up, dinner at On The Border, Dairy Queen for dessert, and then a movie we all watched as a family.  Chronicle.  It was a little different but overall a good show.  Now it is 10:30 and we are all in bed.  Hopefully tomorrow will just as good of a day!
