What a difference a weekend and an extra set of hands make!

Just thought I would share our progress from the weekend.  Marilyn was over for the weekend and she and I got the plants in while Gary worked on the area around the fire place and fixing a broken sprinkler line.

He got the majority of the pavers down.  Now he is working on cutting the pieces to fill in the gaps.  He is using a diamond plate on his table saw and it is working pretty well, although it is extremely dusty.

My favorite plant is the orange bush.  There is another one in the last picture.  It is a slightly different variation with more reds.  It is called a Mary Poppins.  Gary's favorite are the large spikey plants called Cordyline.  We are hoping they are perennials.  The gal at Home Depot said they were but there was no tag in the plants to confirm.  We are keeping our fingers crossed.

Just the other corner of the back yard.  We have quite a few lilli's.  The tall white plant in the back is a Dalmation Foxglove.  I thought it was pretty cool too.  We still need to get a tree for that corner.  We have a pretty good idea of what we want it is just a matter of finding one at a price we are willing to pay.  It is amazing how much a tree costs when you don't buy them at WalMart!

This is the side.  You can see the Mary Poppins plant.  We are also trying a Japanese Maple.  We had one in TN and have always wanted another one.  They are suppose to be primarily in shade so we are going to have to keep our eye on it.

A short & to the point post. Sorry it isn't more entertaining!
