Adrian's 1st football game

Friday afternoon we headed to McCall for Adrian's first game of the season. He had practice that night & during that practice we were able to watch a few of the McCall teams practice. There was one team that we thought would be the one we were going to play but they looked much smaller than our kids. They also weren't very good & I don't really know much about football and still came to that conclusion. The next morning that same team showed up & we ended up beating them 38-0. They actually played better than they practiced but it still wasn't quite good enough. The guy Adrian was up againest was getting angry with him & ended up calling him an a-hole & telling him that he was going to kill him. Adrian's response was okay & then proceeded to push him to the ground on the next play. It was definitely a good confidence boosting first game. Adrian is #88.

After the game we took a drive through Ponderosa State Park & stopped at an outlook point. Marilyn has pictures of the rest of us.

After our drive we stopped at the Shore Lodge for lunch on the patio looking out across Payette Lake. There was a water trampoline for hotel guests that provided our entertainment. Of course Adrian wanted to play on it...so we let him. We figured we had already given them money for lunch. Anthony didn't want to go out with him (they had to swim out to it) so luckily Ryan from his football team was sitting on the beach area trying to talk his older brother out there also, so the two boys went together. They had a great time trying to crawl out onto one of the arms & have the other person run & jump onto it to send them flying into the water. Adrian had a heck of a time staying on the arm but they talked a dad that was out there to jump on the arm for them. Adrian needed a little more umph to be sent flying into the air. After about an hour of playing we started heading home. We stopped at Tamarack so that Gary could show us some of the 'small' (very sarcastic) spreads that have been built up there. They are amazing! All in all a good weekend.
